International UK Scholarship 2009/2010

UK Scholarship – Loughborough University Graduate School.

Good news for international students who are permanently resident in non-EU country, there are over 100 scholarships available in 2009/10 programs. These UK scholarships will be to the value of 25% of the programme tuition fee and that value will be credited to the student’s tuition fee account.

The Loughborough University Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic achievement and potential. Each UK scholarship will be of 1 year’s duration. Applicants with exceptional qualifications may be offered a scholarship with their offer of a place.

Scholarship Applicants to the following Departments will AUTOMATICALLY be considered for a UK scholarship – provided the initial application is complete and contains all the relevant information (degree transcripts, references etc.). For these Departments there is no separate scholarship application process.

• Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering – MSc Advanced Methods in Aeronautical Engineering
• Business School
• Chemistry
• Civil and Building Engineering
• Computing Science
• Economics
• Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Geography
• Human Sciences
• Information Science
• Materials
• School of Mathematics
• Politics, International Relations and European Studies
• Sport and Exercise Sciences

For all other Departments list below, students are invited to apply for a UK scholarship after an offer of a place has been made.

NOTE THAT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THE APPLICANT IS HOLDING AN OFFER OR A PLACE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (THIS OFFER MAY BE CONDITIONAL OR UNCONDITIONAL).

The final closing date for UK scholarship applications is 30th June 2009, though applicants are advised to apply as early as possible.

All those applying using the scholarship application form will be notified of the outcome of their application by email by the end June at the latest.

Any award made to an applicant holding a conditional offer will be subject to those conditions being met in full.

Selection Criteria of this UK scholarship:

• CGPA (cumulative grade point average) over 3.3 ( scale 4) or over 4.3 (scale 5)
• Percentages
• Personal Statement / Work experience
