The project will be carried out at TERI / TERI University in collaboration with Unité de Catalyse et de Chimie du Solide (UCCS), University   of Lille, France.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>India</strong><strong> Scholarships 2009.</strong> <strong>The &#8220;Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana&#8221; (KVPY) is a program started during 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India</strong> to encourage students of Basic Sciences, <a href="http://beasiswabelajar.com/education/beasiswa-scholarships/mechanical-engineering-design-of-meng.htm">Engineering</a> and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research.</p>
<p><strong>This program strives to assist the students to realises their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent</strong> is developed for <a href="http://beasiswabelajar.com/education/research-scholarship/australian-research-council-arc-future-fellowship.htm">research</a> and growth in the country. <p><strong>ELIGIBILITY</strong></p>
<p><strong>These Fellowships are only for Indian Nationals studying in India.</strong></p>
<p>The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, offers attractive fellowships (Rs. 4000 to Rs. 7000 p.m) and contingency grants (Four months fellowship p.a) for students studying in Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. Selection to the program takes into account academic excellence and demonstrated interest in pursuing research career. Selection procedures are different for Basic Sciences, SP (Engineering) and SP (Medicine) and SP(Basic Sciences). All of them, however, include an interview for final selection.</p>

<p>National Council of Science Museums, an autonomous scientific &amp; <a href="http://beasiswabelajar.com/education/research-scholarship/australian-research-council-arc-future-fellowship.htm">research</a> organization under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, engaged in popularlzation of Science &amp; Technology among the people at large, intends to offer five numbers of Post Graduate Fellowship for a period of two years commencing from January, 2010.</p>
<p>The selected fellows will undergo full time four Semester <a href="http://beasiswabelajar.com/education/beasiswa-luar-negri/master-scholarship-program-from-rsis-singapore.htm">Master of Science</a> (Postgraduate) Course in Science Communication being conducted by the Council in collaboration with the Birla Institute of Technology &amp; Science (BITS), Pilani on an off campus mode. The lectures and tutorials would be held at National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata.</p>

Electrical! Electronics information Technology! Telecommucation Computer/Metallurgy! Chemical/Production Engineering</p>
<p><strong>OR<br />
</strong>ii) 1st Class M.Sc. degree in Physics! Chemistry! Zoology! Botany/Biotechnology /Environmental Science.<br />
Fellowship: Rs.8.000/- per month for two years with contingency grant of Rs.8.000/- per annum.</p>
<p>Mere possession of requisite qualifications shall not entitle the candidates to be called for the Test and Interview. Decision of the Council in this regard shall be final. Canvassing in any form and! Or bringing in any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as disqualification for the fellowship. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.<br />
The selected candidates would be required to sign a &#8216;Bond&#8217; to make refund of the amount received as fellowships or other grants, it they discontinue their studies in the midway.</p>

<p>GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF SCIENCE &#038; TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY RAMALINGASWAMI FELLOWSHIP<br />

Applications are invited for “Ramalingaswami Fellowship”, a re-entry scheme of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science &#038; Technology, Govt. of India.</p>
<p><strong>Objective</strong><br />
1. The scheme is aimed at bringing back scientists of Indian origin working out side the country in various fields of Biotechnology, including agriculture, health sciences, bio-engineering, energy, environment, bioinformatics and all other related areas, and who are desirous of pursing R&#038;D in an Indian institution.</p>
<p><strong>Eligibility</strong><br />
2. The applicant should possess a higher degree or equivalent, such as PhD, MD etc with an outstanding track record reflected in publications and other recognitions.<br />
3. Only candidates of Indian origin working oversease are eligible to apply. Those who have already returned to India and are working in India are not eligible.</p>

<p><strong>About the fellowship</strong><br />
4. Each awardee selected will receive fellowship amount of Rs. 75,000/ pm consolidated and a contingency grant of Rs. 5,00000 / year for purchase of consumables, minor equipment, international and domestic travel, engaging manpower and other contingent expenditure to be incurred in connection with the implementation of the project. However, institute / university where applicant proposes to work can consider giving the necessary benefits like (HRA/housing, medical, leave travel and other benefits) as applicable to regular faculty.</p>
<p>1. In case an awardee during the tenure of the fellowship finds a suitable position at any research institute/ university, he or she can take up the job in that case he / she will have to opt for either fellowship or salary. However, she / he can continue taking contingency grant with the prior approval of the department.<br />
2. Ramalingaswami Fellows could take up fellowship at any of the scientific institutes / university in the country. However application should be duly forwarded by the competent authority of the host Institute.<br />
Duration<br />
The duration of the <a href="http://beasiswabelajar.com/education/college-scholarship/india/india-fellowship-2010-india-research-fellowship-university-of-victoria-canada.htm">India fellowship</a> will be for a period of five years extendable by another 5 years on a fresh appraisal.</p>

<p>The Centre for Studies in Religion and Society invites applications from Indian scholars for a visiting research fellowship appointment at the University of Victoria.</p>
<p><strong>Topics:</strong> Applications are welcomed for projects that meet the Centre&#8217;s mandate of promoting the interdisciplinary study of religion in relation to any and all aspects of society and culture, both contemporary and historical. Topics may include but are not limited to examinations of religious themes within the areas of ethics, health, environment, technology, public policy, human conflict, art, literature, the media, law, philosophy or the natural sciences. The India research fellowship is particularly targeted at scholars working on religion in modern India, though other topics will also be considered. Applications from all disciplinary backgrounds are welcome.</p>
<p><strong>Eligibility:</strong> Indian citizens who are completing their doctoral work, are engaged in post-doctoral research, or who have regular academic appointments in India.</p>
<p><span id="more-705"></span></p>
<p><strong>Value:</strong> Return travel to and from Victoria and reasonable food and accommodation expenses for the duration of the visit. In addition, fellowship recipients will receive private office space centrally located on the scenic University of Victoria campus; a congenial retreat-like setting; university privileges; and enhanced opportunities for research networking, stimulating and regular scholarly exchange, and participation in the Centre&#8217;s wide range of academic and social activities.</p>
<p><strong>Term: </strong>Four to six months, beginning between January and March 2010.</p>
<p><strong>Conditions:</strong> Fellows are expected to conduct their work in the Centre&#8217;s quarters, to participate actively in the programs and activities of the Centre and to give at least one public seminar or lecture on the theme of their <a href="http://beasiswabelajar.com/education/college-scholarship/united-states/postdoctoral-research-in-cancer-and-inflammation-of-health-sciences.htm">research fellow</a>.</p>
<p><strong>Application Procedure:</strong> Applications should include a descriptive title, a detailed statement of the research project (maximum 5 pages), an up-to-date curriculum vitae and two reference letters (to be forwarded to the CSRS under separate cover). The Centre may also solicit the opinions of other referees.</p>

<p>The &#8216;Better Opportunities for Young Scientists in Chosen Areas of Science and Technology (BOYSCAST)&#8217; programme of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) provides opportunities to the young Indian scientists/technologists to visit institutions abroad, interact with scientists/technologists there, get trained in latest research techniques and conduct R&amp;D in specially chosen frontline areas of science and technology. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the award of fellowships under the BOYSCAST programme for conducting advanced research and undergoing training in advanced research techniques in overseas research laboratories/institutes, in chosen frontline areas of science and technology for the period of three to twelve months. <strong>The chosen areas fall under the following broad areas:</strong></p>
<p>(1) Atmospheric and earth Sciences;<br />
(2) Chemical sciences;<br />
(3) Engineering sciences;<br />
(4) Life sciences;<br />
(5) <a href="http://beasiswabelajar.com/education/tag/mathematical-sciences">Mathematical sciences</a>, and<br />
(6) <a href="http://beasiswabelajar.com/education/college-scholarship/universities-of-glasgow-10-phd-studentships-in-technologies.htm">Physical Sciences</a>.</p>

<p><strong>The candidates may please visit our websites given below for the detailed specific chosen areas under each of the above broad areas.</strong> The amount of fellowship is US$ 3000 (or equivalent in other foreign currency) per month with maximum duration of fellowship being 12 months.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Eligibility Criteria</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br />

Young Indian scientists and technologists who fulfill the following conditions can submit application/ proposal for award of BOYSCAST fellowship:</p>
<p>(i) Academic qualifications: Master&#8217;s degree in engineering/technology or equivalent or M.D. in medicine or equivalent with research experience or Ph.D. in science/engineering or equivalent.</p>
<p>(ii)  Age: Up to 35 years (as on 1 April 2009). The applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC and women candidates may be allowed relaxation in the age limit up to 5 years.</p>
<p>(iii) Employment: A regular position in a recognized S&amp;T institution/university/college. Candidate must be officially sponsored (their application to be formally forwarded) by the employer/head of the institution or agency with commitment to depute them for research/training under BOYSCAST programme. Forwarding note merely stating that above would be considered only after award of fellowship will not be considered by DST.</p>
<p>(iv) Place of work: The fellow should be accepted by a foreign scientific/technological institution which is internationally recognized as an outstanding institution where major work in the identified area is in progress.</p>
<p>(v) Candidates who have earlier availed of the BOYSCAST fellowship will not be eligible for consideration again for this fellowship. The candidates who have availed any other overseas fellowship for a period of more than three months through any Government/public funding agency during last two years will also not be considered for this fellowship.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Procedure for Application</span></strong></p>
